A real find! 5 stars!
By: Elise Power (Jan 23, 2010)
I was thrilled to find a local source for farm fresh eggs, and just made my first trip there. A little tricky to get to, especially the first time , being in the hills with some twists and turns on small streets, but absolutely worth it! The girls were sweet and patient with this first timer, and the food is to die for! I made brunch with the eggs, bread, and peach jam when I got home. The bread is hearty without being heavy, the peach jam full fruited without too much sugar, and the eggs large and golden of yoke. I am spoiled for the supermarket from here forward.
Fantastic!

I look forward to ordering from Heavenly Acre every week. I always purchase from this farm first before purchasing at the local grocery stores. The quality of the produce, preserves and baked goods is phenomenal. The family is very friendly and helpful, even offering to deliver my order to my car when I was pregnant so I didn't have to walk up their driveway! So sweet! The baked goods are warm on Saturday morning, a few muffins get eaten on the car ride home each week!
A little bit of heaven in La Habra Heights, CA
By: Diane Goferman (Jul 7, 2009)
This one-acre farm is amazing. The family has so much energy and they are very good people. The children have made this into a thriving ag enterprise for the family and the community. Their products are delicious and of high quality. It's fun to be able to order online and then make a run to their house to pick up the order. The wheat bread is top notch. The preserves are so tasty and organic. Kudos to this farm for everything they do. Diane Gofferman-Asato La Habra Heights, CA
Truly a Heavenly Acre
By: Shari Hagewood (Jun 28, 2009)
I remember how excited I was to discover a local family farm. As a frustrated city-dweller, my happiest times are those spent in northern Washington state with my best friend. Being able to reclaim even a tiny bit of that happiness locally is wonderful!
Since discovering Heavenly Acre and all the wonderful products they have available, I try to visit every week. I absolutely love the many organic and sustainably produced fruits and veggies they offer, the eggs are like miracles - you can never find this quality at a regular grocery store. Their baked goods are high quality and made with organic ingredients - I've never had better bread, cookies, muffins and tea cakes. Was thrilled at the berry availability - even boysenberries! Their goatsmilk soap is wonderful - very smooth and makes a terrific lather.
The Lystrup family exemplifies what a family can truly be. The kids are home-schooled and are all so bright and beautiful it's a true testament to Mom and Dad. They are all very helpful, carrying an extra bag to the car, running back in to the kitchen to retrieve a refrigerated item, just great kids.
They recently gave a farm tour. Karissa conducted it and we were floored by her depth of knowledge. She has a great business head on her shoulders and combined with her kindness and caring should definitely make a difference in the world.
My week is literally not complete unless I get to spend a precious bit of my time there on Saturday mornings. I hope to continue visiting them and indulging in their offerings for many years to come.
I highly recommend anyone interested in improving their family's diet check into Heavenly Acre! Shari Hagewood - La Mirada, CA
You must visit this farm!
By: Susan N. (Jun 19, 2009)
The Lystrup family have created a total experience at Heavenly Acres. The children are the primary caretakers, business entrepreneurs and without a doubt, the future of this country. They exemplify a love of the land, and display a keen knowledge of the science of and an appreciation of the value of organic farming. The produce, baked goods and handmade soaps are superb! If you've never experienced local, home-grown organic eggs, fruits, veggies and fresh-from-the-oven (literally!) baked goods, you haven't lived until you try Heavenly Acres.
Please do yourself a favor and pay them a visit, and take advantage of their delicious products. You'll be glad you did!
Great Products!

Greetings Karissa!
I just wanted to let you know that our family LOVED the products that we purchased from your farm last Saturday. My niece and nephew especially enjoyed the muffins and fruit! My dogs LOVED the milk!
So thanks for offering this service. We will look forward to ordering again this week.
again many thanks, staci
P.S. I appreciate that you use different types of grains in your baking products- it makes it easier to rotate things for how I eat....
Thank you!

I recently moved to this area from Virginia and was wondering where in the world i was going to find whole wheat berries to make bread. I found the Lystrups online and contacted them. They were so helpful! They even told me where they buy their wheat in bulk so that i could too, or they offered to repack it for me and sell it to me. I am so glad i now know where i can find wheat. They have a lovely place and i look forward to doing more business with them!
Bread,jam,eggs and more
By: Charleen Vershaw (Oct 24, 2008)
Love your bread, jam and eggs. I'm reassured knowing that everything is grown or made with the utmost care and without harmful pesticides or additives. Love the pickled beets too. Two friends have used the pet supplement for their dogs and love it. Wish the chickens would produce more eggs, but maybe the new chicks will be productive in the coming months. The soaps are great. Don't think there's a product I haven't tried. Have enjoyed everything.
Thank You

Thank you for having such healthy produce! Your jams are excellent especially the plum/berry. Your pineapple coconut muffin that I had last week was "right out of the oven" fresh and full of flavor. Thank you also for being such nice people to buy from. Janice Slattery
Biased opinion but love it
By: Ann Johnson (Oct 14, 2008)
Warning--we are probably biased in our views because the Lystrups are friends--but the fresh-baked whole wheat bread (we call it "Annika Bread" affectionately) and low-sugar peach jam and pomegranates we ordered this week speak for themselves!
The bread is moist with a great texture for eating just sliced or toasted. It is slightly sweet and nutty-flavored. It is especially good with the peach jam. The jam may be low sugar but it is full of ripe sweet fruit--perfect balance. Pomegranates are huge and juicy and deep red--very sweet. too! I am glad to know that we're eating only good things, no preservatives or chemicals.
I am planning to give lots of FARM FRESH gifts, so I hope that our favorite farmers will be brewing up extra jams and soaps for Christmas and Thanksgiving.
Thanks for your hard work on our behalf--we appreciate you! The Johnsons
Fresh, Healthy and Nutritious

If you are looking for these qualities in the products you buy this is the place to go. I've bought from them granola (unsweetened, what a great thing), oranges, goat soap, eggs, fresh herbs, berries and avocados -between other things- and everything has had the best quality. I would strongly recommend this place to someone who is looking to have a healthy diet. We drive thirty miles to get there but it is worth it and the kindness with which they treat us makes us want to go back once and again!
Love Heavenly Acre!
By: Christine Shubin (Oct 14, 2008)
I started buying produce from Heavenly Acre Farm about a month ago and buy about every 2 weeks or so.
I've never had such delicious tomatoes! The organic white peach syrup is to die for and my kids couldn't get enough. I'm slowly trying all the different items this little farm has to offer and am impressed with how well the kids are running not only the farm but the entire business end as well.
Only place I know of in the area or surrounding areas where I can buy Goat's milk for my kitten. The Goat's Milk soap is wonderful as well - without all the parabens, formaldehyde, aluminum and other bad stuff that commercial soaps have!
I'm so glad to have found Heavenly Acre - and literally right up the street from me!
Such an awesome farm!

I've been going to this farm every 2 weeks or so for the past couple months and I am so happy I found it! They are the only place in either los angeles county, san bernardino county, or orange county that sell goat milk (that I know of)! They also have the best chocolate chip cookies and wheat bread I've ever tasted! I drive 50 minutes each time to visit them but it is so worth it. Thank you Karissa for all that you and your family do to provide healthy food to the community!
So happy I found Heavenly Acre!
By: Emily Otis (Oct 9, 2008)
Their eggs and avocados are the best I have ever tasted, and their peach and nectarine jams are incredibly addictive! Just about everything else I have ever gotten there has been truly wonderful, too. Their selection of herbs is unmatched anywhere that I have shopped in the Orange County area. And, one of the best parts about it is that the kids in the family are the ones that run the entire operation! They do all the growing, harvesting, milking, baking, order-taking, and couldn't be friendlier while they're doing it! I'm happy to be able to support such a great farm!
Heavenly Acres is Heavenly
By: Gloria Putnam (Oct 2, 2008)
I visited this farm last week for the first time and it was great. I bought cow milk, eggs, fresh goat cheese and eggs. The eggs have the most amazing yokes. Yum. I also bought some whey and tried to give it to my cat, but for some reason he wasn't really interested. The best part of visiting this farm was getting a short tour from Karissa. Their Dexter cow is beautiful and it was fun to watch the kids feed her banana leaves. They had a small coop full of baby chicks peeping away. Its amazing to see what they have done with such a small place. I will definitely be back!
Heavenly Acres is Great

I've visited Heavenly Acres several times now, and purchased: Zucchini Muffins (delicious!), jams (also), goatmilk soap (great for your skin). It's a beautiful place and the family that runs it is very friendly- usually it's the kids that help you- very mature, friendly, hard-working kids.
You gotta go up there and see them.
Remember: you are buying ORGANIC, home-made items, and you are supporting a family (!), not Albertson's, who underpays their people, and treats them poorly, and all the rest of the corporate world.
Friendly people, tasty food
By: Lisa (Jul 1, 2008)
The most friendly and helpful people I've incountered in a very long time. The produce is beautiful as well healthful and tasty. With 4 kids, this is very important. Well worth the mountian drive.
We love Heavenly Acre

This is a small organic family farm who sells great produce and homemade products. The family is very nice to share all their great stuff with the rest of us. Since finding them through local harvest, I visit them every week. My family loves all of their baked goods, especially the homemade cookies. We love their soaps too! I look forward to what they have to order from every week and also look forward to trying new products and produce as they come available! Thank you Heavenly Acre for all that you do to help my family become healthier and happier. I totally recommend them to anyone who is looking for local and organic food/products. Since I am a full time working mom, I appreciate that they allow me to help feed my family homemade and wholesome food without me having to prepare them myself, which is nearly impossible : ) Thanks again!!!!
